The Amador County Tree Mortality Task Force was developed to provide information, resources, and connections to Amador County residents  in response to the tree mortality crisis. The purpose of the task force is to identify priority areas for tree removal by identifying overlap of dead trees with critical infrastructure within the County. See the Contact page for information on the member organizations.
Amador County has funding from the California Disaster Assistance Act (CDAA) Grant Program  to remove dead trees within the County on both public and private lands that could fall on structures, utility lines and roads.  To undertake projects the County sends Right-of-Entry permits to homeowners who may have dead trees on their property that could potentially impact County maintained roads or County maintained infrastructure. Once the homeowner signs and returns the Right-of-Entry permit, landowners are entered into a secure database which notifies Contractors which properties they can access.  See the What's New and the Tree Removal tabs on this website for more information on past and current projects.
